Human Trafficking – are you a victim?
A consumer who is a victim of trafficking can submit “trafficking documentation” as part of their submission to a consumer reporting agency to request a block of adverse items of information on their background report that resulted from trafficking. If you are a victim and wish to proceed with submitting trafficking documentation, please note the following:
- Trafficking Documentation includes 2 categories – Victim determination (page 3) and Identified adverse items of information (page 3).
- You are required to include “appropriate proof of identity” as part of your submission.
- You are required to identify the adverse items of information that should not be furnished.
- You are required to submit a preferred method for a consumer reporting agency to contact you electronically or in writing.
- Submissions can be made to one of the following addresses:
